I found out a piece of info which you may all know already but I didn't really get a clear indication from the video or post.

I was helping out my brother-in-law with manually closing the roof (the car use to be mine!) because it was stuck open.

Anyway, I think there are two missing steps after you follow the instructions.

The instructions stop after you set the two white U hooks over to the manual position and then it tells you to close the boot.

When I did this, the boot was closed, but the car detected that the roof was still opened and gave a constant "beep" when driving.

Anyway, I believe the final steps of the procedure is;

1. Set the two white U hooks into the manual position.
2. Pull the blind in boot out and latch to the extended position.
3. Close the boot.
4. Start the car
5. Press the roof switch down (close roof). You will hear a 'click' in the boot as the electronic locks will LOCK.
6. Open the boot
7. Reset the two white U hooks back to the normal position (nearest to the boot lid). Make sure you set those white hooks in properly. The action is PULL OUT, TWIST to new position, PUSH IN to the new position to lock. You may have to wiggle those white hooks a little.

I know I'm long winded... but hopefully the above info will help someone.

After that the boot is fully reset...and in the case of my brother in law's car..... fully functional again!!

Snap! Me too. Exactly the same. New owner. Roof has been fine for a few weeks. But yesterday although the roof closed as usual when it completed this time the usual final chimes didn't happen. Everything appeared secure but the constant beeping noise when moving. Subsequent opening and closing all worked fine but no confirmatory chimes. Any ideas? Thanks. Marlowe

Hi, can I just add a step to the process which seems obvious to me now but I spent ages wondering why I was still getting the alarm sounding!!

1. Set the two white U hooks into the manual position.
2. Pull the blind in boot out and latch to the extended position.
3. Close the boot.
4. Start the car
5. Release the two interior roof lock catches!!
6. Press the roof switch down (close roof). You will hear a 'click' in the boot as the electronic locks will LOCK.
7. Open the boot
8. Reset the two white U hooks back to the normal position (nearest to the boot lid). Make sure you set those white hooks in properly. The action is PULL OUT, TWIST to new position, PUSH IN to the new position to lock. You may have to wiggle those white hooks a little.

Hope this helps!!

I digress. I was cleaning her out , you know the finishing touches, All her leather interior all treared and cleaned , hooverd out so imaculate , Finaly ???? AHHH The windows .... I always use vinigar (just a teaspoon and a drop of wash up liquid with water in a spray bottle . spray rub n buff withgn a soft cloth . u can use squeegies etc as well but end result brill , (just a tip . I got loads)
once again I kinda digress , however the windows . I am somewhat disabled so i want it as easy as possible init ? so I thought put roof halfway down as I did when aplying vasaline to all roof rubbers , (after leaning them of ourse).....Digresion should be my middle name . the back window I was leaning in and spraying the window."oh this is the best clean your ever gonna have " thinks I. then out of the blue the bloody boot starts coming down on me so i kinda unjamed myself and so doing i interupted the routine, DOH
of course mr cleverdick bought my 02 plate 206 cc WITH OUT a user manual . i spent 2 days playing with the coloulm switch for HIGH FI ??/ only to find hi fi replaced lol.
Kind People I so wish to thank you . as i called rac last night to no avail 1st . i told the guy what i read about an allan key etc , he scratched his head n said sorry m8... THEN bless him he returned then did the complete allan key thing ,,,, hey presto roof closed , But beeping ????? AHHH I did my homework i read lots last night so when i went out originally thinking i had bent somethinmg or a search for micro switches . LO AND BEHOLD .....THIS IS THE ANSWER I NEEDED. BLESS YOU BRO..
peace and love to all the 206 people/lovers

Hi guys, hope you can help me out.

A few months ago one of the hydraulic wires sprang a leek! When the roof was down (so the hydraulic system won't work currently. I am hopefully going to get this fixed in a few months) any way i managed to get the roof up manually but whenever I drive the car I get a constant beep.
I read the posts on this thread and went back and did all the steps but, as soon as I put the white clips back into the auto position the boot lid is then not locked.
Please can you advise me in these two problems:
1. The constant beep
2. How to get the boot lid to stay locked with the clips in the auto position (currently I have to keep the clips in the manual position to hold it)

Thanks

Why not leave them in manual until you have the faulty hydraulics fixed?

Yeah, I think that's all I can do. Hopefully I can get it booked in within the next fre months. I have a mechanic who has agreed to replace the leaking hose and refill the pump, etc. but he thinks that all the microswiches will them have to be reset. I have looked on this site and have found the microswitch diagram but how do you get to all the switches and what position should they be in???

Please can anyone can help me out with this??
Thanks

Someone with Peugeot Planet 2000 would be able to diagnose this and probably fix it for you.
Could you put your location in your profile to see if there's anyone local who could help?
