roof will not go down ....

iv had the car 3 months and only today it broke on me ..
was sunny so decided to put the roof down undid the clips an the slidey thing in the boot pushed the button but will not budge normally if something isnt right it will make a beeping noise but today it didnt even do that ... ??

my guess is micro switches, what year car is it?

hi there all 206 cc owners i have a roof problem,the problem is when i bought the car the 2 drivers side windows were smashed! tho the roof worked perfectly, i have now replaced the glass and the roof doesnt work,just get lots of bleeping and nothing else, the windows all work ok and seem to be fitted ok , i have checked the microswitch in the boot and have turned the plastic catches on boot lid, which hasnt helped, am also lookin for a hand book, a hope someone can help, ment to say 2002 1600cc many thanks
gary:( hi again got roof fixed there is a fuse in fuse box under drivers side marked sh this i am told is the shunt fuse it resets everything when removed and then replaced, well a did this and it worked for me , hope this may be of some help
