Does anybody have or know where I can get a new door locking mechanism? Failing that does anyone have the part number?Cheers

Failure of these is fairly common on 206's. I'd go straight to a Peugeot dealer myself and ask the price of a brand new one.
If you search on eBay for "206 central locking" there are several on there.
