I know that this has been discussed elsewhere. I think i know the problem but wondering if somebody know how much it will/ should cost to mend it
when i get the car rolling or change from 1st to 2nd gear quickly- there is a thumping sound from under the bonnet. took it to local garage and they had a good look. On the passenger side of the engine there is more movement. Am told that there is engine suspension which has a small bush and over time it fades away. so the metal suspension rod gets loose and any acceleration causes that thump.
The garage dealer has found the problem but is laid back about mending it. keeps saying come next day or so.
I am wondering how much should be the repair? is it a dealer only part? Peugeot are charging £46 for diagnostics and everything else above that.
any thoughts
