Hi,
Not sure if anyone can help but i have a problem witrh my rear axle i have a heavy knocking/clunking noise coming from the drivers side rear axle.
I have noticed the wheel has a camber on it now as well and is nearly touching the bodywork on the inside of the wheel arch.
It looks like the bush where the hub goes into the rear beem is worn, does anybody know about changing these bushes/bearing or has had a problem like this.
ASAP help required any help.
Or best place to get a replacement rear axle??
Thanks in advance..
joe
Rear axle clunking and wheel camber
ive had the same prob mate, i managed to get a rear axle from scrapyard for £100 you need one from a CC obviously or a GTI as they have abs and disk brakes, if u find out the side of your axle thats knackered, if my old one is any good to you, you can have it for the price of the postage. it was the passenger side that broke on mine i suspect than maybe the case with yours but if its the other side, the arm off my axle will solve your problem :-)
Re: Rear axle clunking and wheel camber
