I have driven my wifes peugeot 206cc 1.6 S 2002 today after she bought it last week.
We have noticed a few things and was wondering if anyone else has had the same and advise what we can do.
1) On starting the engine there is a knocking under the engine, it lasts a little after moving away but soon stops
2) When in gear and drive the stick vibates (quietly) with the road, and if you touch it it can move within the gate quite freely. Its not hard to get it into gear or anything - just seems that there is slack in each gear gate.
3) When the bonnet is shut, and you push it down it seems that there is some slack. On my past cars (other makes) you can turn the rubber bungs and it will tighten the connection when shut, but there isnt such thing on this one. the rubber bungs turn but do not adjust.
Also i want to change the spark plugs but cant seem find any guides on how to do this and what the spacing MM should be. Also where the airfilter is as its not obvious.
Any help anyone can give will be appreciated.
