 HELP- as anyone had problems with bleeding the coolant system on the 1.6 engine. I have changed the thermostat housing as it was cracked and leaking water everywhere, the car use to run at between 70-80 deg now at 90deg. When having the car running for a while the top hose gets hots filling the radiator the bottom hose gets also. found one bleeder valve at back of engine which flows coolant when opened, ANY suggestions why it is running hotter than it use to .

They are awkward to bleed, and it sounds as if you have an air-lock..
See http://www.peugeot206cc.co.uk/viewtopic.php?id=10868
On some other cars (e.g. 306) I have made up a "header tank" out of a plastic bottle and connected it by plastic tube and jubilee clip to one of the cooling system hoses so that I could get the filling hose really high. That way I got all the air out of the system. A bit Heath Robinson but it worked.

I think http://www.peugeot206cc.co.uk/repair-20 ... gg0rk3.htm may help.
Instead of the bespoke filling cylinder, my mechanic recommends unshipping the expansion chamber and positioning it as high as the connecting pipe will allow.
