Thanks a lot for such an informative forum.
I recently got 51 Reg, 2 Lt, petrol 206 CC. Noted some noise from teh passenger side on slow speeds- took to garage and they said that ABS ring on CV joing has cracked and needs replacing. At the momnet they have welded it and is workin fine- however might need changing in future.
On ebay I found a trader selling CV joint with boot bit for the above mentioned model for £20.

Though it seems a good bargain but I want to mae sure that I am buying the right one. Can anybody supply with more information ed part size. dimension, model nos etc so when I buy it I can ensure its the right one. I am not mechanically minded so please bear with me. also rang Peogeot local dealer and they say that whole drive shaft needs changing- £200.
So really My question is:
1) can just the CV joint be changed (or needs a new drive shaft)
2) if just Cv joint can be changed - how does the ebay list look?
Any thoughts and suggestions
