Hi and Happy New Year to all at the Forum! I haven't posted anything for ages - my CC hasn't been out much lately although I did have a nice drive along the M20 with the roof down on Boxing Day - a whole month ago! Weather has been awful since then! :(

Anyway I wondered if anyone has ever spotted a 206cc in a film or TV programme? I have just watched a DVD of Rowan Atkinson in Mr Bean's Holiday and there is a scene near the end where he walks across the roof of a bus and van to get to the beach (!) and a Cayman Green CC is in the background. There is also a "deleted scene" on the DVD where Mr Bean arrives at a petrol station just as a CC driver is finishing filling his car - the CC driver carelessly puts the nozzle back on the pump and Mr Bean grabs it before it cuts out, and fills his Mini - so the CC driver pays for his petrol as well! The CC in this second shot is a metallic orangey-red colour that I have never seen on a CC in this country - wouldn't mind one that colour myself!

Anyone else seen a 206CC on the silver screen?

Hi Rob, Happy New Year to you too.
That colour sounds like Egyptian Red.
Don't recall seeing a 206cc in a film, that one you describe at the filling station scene sounds hilarious.
You were in the minority on Boxing Day I guess - haven't had our top down since autumn. It'll soon be spring though.

That URL does work, you just need to remove the comma :)

This will work now - the CC is China Blue, I think...

Oh and there is a silver CC in The Pink Panther 2 - I haven't seen the movie but one of the female characters drives it - the whole movie has been uploaded (in parts) on YouTube, I just haven't been bothered to go through and find it. Maybe later :P

Hello everybody!

There is one mexican movie titled "Cansada de Besar Sapos" a free translation would be "Tired of kissing frogs". About a young lady tired of getting dissapointed on her relationships and looking for the right frog which will turn into the Prince of her dreams. The movie takes place in Mexico City and the main character (played by the mexican actress Ana Serradilla) drives a Fire Red 206cc (PPG paint code: KKN Red). I know it because I have the very same car and did some paint job to it! Link of the movie at: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0806938/

Regards!

I kept forgetting to post this but FINALLY here it is - on an episode of the British Border Patrol shown here in Oz, a Moonstone 206CC was one of 3 cars parked at the front door of a house where the occupants were being questioned about drug smuggling - it was in plain view and appears in 3 frames as the police escort a suspected dealer out

:yikes: WHAT haha my car, as are many others, are living proof that they come in automatic!!! In fact, (just some trivia for ya ;)) the 206CC is the only car in it's class to offer an automatic option! The Mitsubishi Colt CZC, CZC Turbo and Holden (Vauxhall or Opel, I think they're Vauxhalls over in England) Tigra are all manuals, and the Holden Tigra is the only one in the class to offer a spare tyre, but it is also the only one without 4 seats
