General question about Leaks from a new owner

Hi all just bought a 2005 206cc and have been reading about leaking roofs:popping:
Can i ask is it an on going problem or does it depend on the age of the car.
Many of the posts about this problem do not say the age of the car.
I was told by a Peugeot salesman that the seals were modified on latter cars to stop the leaks,
Salesman talk or true ?

tis true,early ccs had a hell of a bad rep for leaking and badliy sealing roofs.
over time modifications have been made and are pretty good for water tightness.
think its 53 plate onwards there was huge improvments.

Hi Cheryl,
Ours is a 2005 (05) and we've had no leaks. Also has the roof strips which help stop water getting into the car when you open the door in the rain.

Just off to pick car up & guess what its SUNNY.

Just to let you know, picked car up last week & loving it.
Loads of rain but car is as dry as a bone.
Looking forward to many happy miles of motoring.
