Hey hey

Okiez..
Me and my dad have built a box thingy (excuse the technical terms here!) which im impressed with.. Ive got 2 12" subs and a 1200w amp (unfortunatly its sony and i wanted jbl, but oh well!) and with a little help from a few people i will be fitting it tonight!

What im actually interested in is my headunit.. I currently have the standard one in there which i have been told should be suitable for what i want to do.. But is the correct information or is someone out there trying to confuse me even more??

I was told that all i need is a adapter thingy? Is this right? :? :?

Please someone help! lol

Ill get some pics up when i can work out how!
(sorry im so totally blonde! lol)

Thankiez 8)

your headunit may not be suitable, as the amp got low-level inputs or just phono connections ?
(trying to remember how i wired one up last time, about 8 years ago, get someone else to installed it all now:) )

Okiez.. I went to halfords as i started to get desperate... and, apparently if i want to use the standard headunit i have to disconnect a set of speakers.. which is a bit of a pooer!!

But i guess ill do that for now until pay day and then maybe consider a new headunit if this idea sounds crappy! lol

I kinda hoped there was another way around it really..

nah should be fine.....................fingers crossed

a cheapish mp3 headunit can be had for around £90, think halfords where doing a deal on a kenwood or jvc :?
