but you'd break down in a race anyway
(touch wood...) it's in fine fettle now. I've finally got it to how I wanted it to be when I bought it two years ago. New adjustable alloy-bodied dampers, linked decat pipes, off for a remap in a few weeks.

The Z acording to Auto Express does 0-60 in 5.9 secs which is the same as my WRX.

Have you driven any of these cars?

If I had a choice between a Z (3.5 litres) and an S2K (2.0 litres, 9000 rpm) I'd go for the Z. If I wanted a roadster though, I'd probably go for the S2K because I'm not keen on the look of the 350ZR. Or a Boxster... ;)

PS: The real world isn't about 0-60 times. A Scoob achieves a good time through having fantastic traction. Look at the quarter mile times and you'll find the trap speed is <100 mph. And although an STi is fast, it isn't that fast -- remember that all Scoobs are lardy-cars now (~1500kg), so only ~ 200bhp/ton.

But you haven't driven a 350Z, yet you claim the S2K is better?

I have driven the Boxster... tried a Clio V6..... Impreza and prefered the s2k..... But Perhaps i just like my convertables and the boxster is not worth the extra money..... I AM WITH YOU DAN....

Where in this quote does it say better? this means rather have... use your eyes and read.

My dream car is a Ferrari 360, infinately better but I would still rather have the s2000, as it's in my budget

No comparison between a 350Z and an S2000. I once liked the S2000 but after seeing one the other day I can't believe how dated it is now looking, not to mention tiny.

350ZR is a little slower than the coupe at 6.3 i think but what does it matter when you are too scared to go too fast these days incase you get 3 points.

I like the S2000. Tried to convince her in doors that she should get one a few months back. A couple of weeks ago I had a bit of a race with one in her VTS and I was driving. Believe it or not the VTS beat it? . Dont worry I am not stupid I am sure the driver was just caught unawares although he was still revving like mad in first whilst we were in second. Anyway now she thinks her car is quicker than an s2000 and she isnt interested. A shame really as there was a very nice white one in a garage near us a few months back. It was an import, but looked great in white. They are small inside, but I think that makes for as better driving environment.
