Fixed!!!
Such a stupid issue.
The lever under the shelf ram that activates roof down switch.
That lever wasn't coming up high enough to activate the switch!
I assume there should be some type of plastic fitting over the end of it which I am missing hence why it was unable to activate the switch.
Cardboard and pvc tape to the rescue and it works now as it should.
Took a while to detect that one and thanks Ian and spit

What exactly is on that lever?
Is it some sort of rubber boot?

With all these hundreds of microswitches throughout the roof system, is it worthwhile just buying a bag of the things and replace the lot?

Are they readily available? Does anyone have a part number for them?

Apart from a few, there are no part numbers for the individual roof switches. They are mostly combined into electro-mechanical kits, which are presumably what the factory uses to fit the roof. I expect it would cost a small fortune to buy them that way. I think most people who need one get it from a breaker.
