They sometimes come up on fleabay ... otherwise I bought my Lexia cables from aliexpress. Software that come with it gave my antivirus software a coronary though!

OK here's the reason my code readers failed to connect
Fuse 14 in the engine bay ... 5 amp one. Powers daylight running lights (did CCs have them?) & Diag port. Completely blown ..

I thought of that, and looked in my Handbook, but couldn't find mention of it. F14 in my car is shown as 10A Front windscreen wash pump, and there isn't a 5A fuse in the car at all. Must be differences with age.
Of course, my diag socket could still be powered by F14 - just omitted from the book.

Be aware that the laptop must be running 32 bit Windows for PP2000. If you laptop has a 64 bit OS, download VMWare Player (free), create a 32 bit virtual machine with a copy of XP SP3 (you will need the key), and install PP2000 into that.Claudia cc wrote:Hello,

The CC handbooks on servicebox bear no relation to the one in our car!!IanL wrote:I thought of that, and looked in my Handbook, but couldn't find mention of it. F14 in my car is shown as 10A Front windscreen wash pump, and there isn't a 5A fuse in the car at all. Must be differences with age.

Gazza will probably put you right when he sees this. Have you used diagnostic software before?
