I am a techie, so I understand that most keygens are found by antivirus. It found that but I ignored it. There was a .exe in the install folder which was detected as a trojan. It gave a name for it too. I don't remember what it said exactly, but it seemed legit. With that .exe quarantined I can not install the software.

The quarantined .exe is a cracked version of the original programs .exe, it stops the key entering part of the program from ringing home to check its valid. You need to restore it from what ever antivirus program you use. But not before you have made sure its nothing genuinely bad.

Well the sheer size for a start especially if your on slow internet or a phone.

Plus almost everyone i've seen you recommend this too has no idea how to install and/or use it. It can be very cunfusing especially when it comes to the drivers.

Where do you get it from anyway?
I bought it from the seller, http://www.emanualonline.com/. It comes with a link to a web tutorial which makes installation easy. Of course it is a big download - it is a very large database, held within a copy of Windows XP. If you don't want to download, they will post you a disk instead - no extra cost. I had no problem with drivers, because the VM is already installed. You just start VMWare, point to the file, and you're away. (Driver problem arises with installation of Planet, if Lexia is plugged into PC before the installer calls for it.)

As for ease of use, it is the same as you get from the Peugeot online site, so same degree of difficulty.

The installation hassles come from the EBay cracked versions, not this one.

I'm sure you are correct, but how do you "make sure its nothing genuinely bad"?

Anyway, the version of Planet I got with my Lexia 3 doesn't throw up any warnings from my antivirus (Avast). I expect the version Jon gets with his interface will also be ok.

Yes, that looks fine, and the price seems about right.

You're welcome.

Btw, you cannot install both Planet and Diagbox on the same PC. The Diagbox installer finds the copy of Planet and wants to remove it, because Diagbox contains a later version of Planet. Note: Although Diagbox will run under a 64-bit OS, the inbuilt Planet will not - it crashes. Also, some people say that it is a cut-down version of Planet, so, for an older car (i.e. the 206) you are better-off installing Planet and ignoring Diagbox.

On the software CD, Planet is usually near the bottom of the list, probably shown as PP2000.
