Location of starter motor please

Post by WifeyD »

Hi. We're trying to replace the starter motor on a 04 206cc. It's a 1.6. Please, can anyone help with its location and if there are any handy hints on replacing it? Thanks in advance.

From the top. Remove inlet pipework to gain access

You don't have to remove battery, but it does give more room if you do.
The worst bit is doing it all by feel.
Cheers Col.

Yes, but unless you have a 2 post ramp, it's easier from the top.
Cheers Col.

Thanks Col. It's on the cards for tomorrow so thought I'd ask. I have a set of ramps but not post lift.

Thank you very much. I think I literally just put my hand on it but I appreciate the confirmation. It doesn't look like itself at all when its fitted!
