Yes ECU can go wrong and they all do seem to be interchangeable.

Did he test the switches with a meter? Do your windows work OK?

They rarely go wrong, they more common disable the roof in the event of a problem to protect itself from damage and people from potential trapping injury.

It will probably just need resetting. You could swap it for another but if the underlying problem is still there it will disable that one too.

The windows work well. Front and rear as well.
After opening the clips are not blocked the windows. The ECU can not detect it.
Signs of the switches, checking with a multimeter in the yellow connector. It's all good. I ordered from England, a tested ECU. I really hope that we move forward in the solution.

Slo! How to restart the roof ECU?

You will need to get it diagnosed with peugeot planet 2000,it is the only software (that I know of) that can access the roof ecu, this method will be better for you as it will find what caused the problem in the first place, you can also send your faulty ecu to someone with the software to check it for you.

The ECU has arrived today. I replaced the ecu. Unfortunately, there is no change. Everything is the same as it was.
Next week, I am looking for someone who has the Peugeot Planet 2000 software. I hope I can find new information.

Sounds familiar, hate to say I knew that would happen. Since you cant find or know anyone with it why not just buy your own, you can scan and reset it at your leisure then and have the convenience of not having to pay someone to check it for you every time.

Plenty of them up for grabs on ebay if you can get one shipped to you, all you need then is a windows xp laptop.

The switch is a normally open circuit when the latch is closed so when it sees the switch open circuit it knows the latch is open.

If you open the latch and unplug the switch and bridge the plug on the wiring and the roof works you know that switch is faulty.

I had the same thing with the boot blind switch.

Just make sure you remove the bridge from the plug after so the car doesnt try and put the roof down with the latch closed.

Windows wont work with the latch switch bridged, at least when the roof is up anyway.

Tomorrow we will try to connect the roof ECU,
Someone has electrical diagram of the roof?

Tomorrow I will try to bridge the switches.

If the BSI reboot is successful, how do I know?
The car will give me some feedback?
I have followed the procedure first.

Window down.
key off
I waited for more than three minutes,
Battery disconnected.
Again I waited a few minutes.
Connect the battery.
Side lights on (through the window, I did not open the door)
(When I hear a "bong sound")
Ignition on.
The lock button is pressed in 10 seconds.

You don't need to do a BSI reset for a roof issue.

Hi!

I already have a "bong" sound when i open a roof klips.

But the roof does not open, only a beep sound. All switches are doing well.
The diagnostics found a speed sensor fault.
I think that's wrong with the roof operation.
By the way, sometimes the speedometer falls 0km / h during the drive.

What are your opinions?

Speed sensor fault can cause roof failure.

It will likely be the speedo drive cog that is inside the speedo housing and fits around the o/s driveshaft.

This problem has come up a few times lately.

It cheap to fix but you have to remove the o/s shaft and speedo housing to get to it.

More interesting experience.

I checked multimeter and test lamp in the ECU outputs.

The 19-pin (yellow plug) I found a pulsed 12V. This is normal?
This wire is all switch to energy supplies. (I have a wiring diagram)

Unfortunately I am still investigating .....

Wires, switches surely right. But the roof still not open.
If I drive the car, continuous beeping, as if a door would open.
As soon as I stop (red traffic light), the beeping stops. I think, the speed signal sensor its ok.

I don't understand. Peugeot Planet software without the interface does not work. During the delivery interface. Until I try.
