Hi, i have got a 206 5dr LX model and already changed the stereo, what are some good idea's to make it look a bit better? Being a 5dr its hard to modify without it looking cheap?

That's a difficult one. A lot depends on how big your budget is, and what you personally want it to look like.
Cheers Col.

Not looking to go mad, just want to get away from the stock look, i like the 206 gti but insurance is to high on a Gti so i went with this! need a 5dr as i play golf. Going to look into changing the rear lights but not sure which ones to get as everyone gets the lexus ones!

Your best bet though is to look at the http://www.206info.co.uk website where they tend to specialise in the hatchback. And they have some fairly radical customised 206's on there!!

Cheap changes are to fit Phase 2 rear lights (if not already). Phase 2 are the ones on later models where the lens look clearer. Phase 1 is where the upper half is amber, and lower half red and the lenses are stripy. You could go for the Lexus type but they tend to be expensive (and not my taste). Remember that the hatchback and cc light clusters are slightly different and not interchangeable without some mods. I've swapped out the CC rears for phase 2's and it looks 200% better.

I assume you already have crystal dual bulb headlamps? If not, there's a second. Swap out the headlight units but you'll need H7 to H1 converter cables, unless you DIY it.

16" or 17" Alloys (make sure they are for the 206 and not the 406). If you let us know what wheels/tyre size is on it now, I can recommend the right tyre size to stop the speedo being wrong.

Sports front bumper with the larger grill area. You could swap the rear one for a GTI/sport version too.

You could swap out the interior for leather or part leather, although most I've seen for sale are for 3 door cars and the 5 door rear seat will be different. So if you want the door cards to match you may have a harder job. You may need to watch for air-bag connections, etc as well.

Some people like the white dials with blue lighting .. (I prefer the standard red lit dials).

I fitted a GTI leather steering wheel to the HDI ... straight swap (again two types: non-mux and mux and they are interchangeable). Nice leather gear knob and lever gaiter too.

Rear spoiler on the top of the tail gate?

Do you have the old style rear number plate strip with the pug lion in that, or the cleaner phase 2 where the lion in larger and mounted on the tailgate between the window and the number plate.

Lower front springs and torsion bar adjustment at rear (no springs there!)

The only purple one Ive seen was a custom paint job, We have an upholsterers here and u just drop off your car seats and they recover them how ever you like but its not cheap.
