Windows won't go down when opening the roof

Post by e_londonvillage »

Evening everybody
Had my 206cc from new and had it for the last 12 years.
Today, I was opening the roof, and turned the engine off when it was doing so.
Now the windows won't go down when I open and close the roof. The roof opens/closes as it should and is working fine. The windows work as they should, when the internal catches are locked into place within the car and the roof up.
When the roof is down, I get the bleeping all the time, and the same when the roof and windows are up and on the move, bleeping all the time.
What have I broken in terms of micro switches as all the mechanics are working fine.
The bleeping is driving me mad
Please help
David

Sounds like you've properly confused it.
Everything has to happen in a certain sequence or it gets in a tizz.
Assuming from your profile name that you're in London (you really ought to add your location to your profile) you would be too far away for me to be able to directly help. Therefore I can only recommend that you work your way through the "sticky" topics at the top of this section of the forum.
If you still can't nail the issue, then you need to find someone local to you who can do a diagnostic using Peugeot Planet 2000, and possibly reset it if any error codes show up.

Can you PM me your number as I would like you to have a look at my roof/micro switches and pick your brains on what the problem is. Cheers David

By switching off the ignition during the roof operation it will have lost its memory. Doubt if you've broken any microswitches.
