do i really need air box with intake kit

Hi i recently bought a ram air intake for my 206 cc and it says remove air filter which i have done and connect ducting pipe to air box pipe on the metal bracket but basicaly pipe i got does not fit but it is supposed to would there be a way around this or could i manage without air box thanks

You will change the effective length of inlet (including plenum volume) without using airbox. It will negatively effect the running of the car unless other mods are carried out.

Hi,
I have just removed my OEM replacement KN airfilter. Cleaned and re-oiled with the KN kit and its back in.
Cant beat the OEM air box/plenum with upgraded long life air filter.

Indeed Iain. Most of those induction kits make a lot of noise but loose power (and usually use more fuel)
I wouldn't bother unless you carry out other mods.
