Rough idle with induction filter

I have a 1.6 and fitted an induction filter this morning and it isles rough and when you de accelerate the revs drop rite off any suggestions ?

It probably running far too lean now .. only one real answer .. :oops:

Yep- Put original filter back on. Those induction kits are a waste of time on a standard engine as they breathe well enough as std. All an induction kit usually does is make it louder (giving a false impression of power) makes it run badly with flat spots poor idle etc: and it usually ruins the fuel consumption.

+1. Which is what I was hinting at!

All I've read says those filters are a waste of time. A good k&n in the original housing is much better.

Fitted one on my 1.6 a few years ago, and it worked perfectly from the start. Idles fine, no flat spots. Growls a bit under load. Hope you didn't use a silicone sealant on the joints.
