Exhaust back box

Post by SaintGeorge68 »

Hi All

Not long had my car and just joined the forum so hello everyone

I've been looking at exhaust back boxes on eBay (£50 kind of price range), not that there is anything wrong with the one fitted but the idea of shiny bits and a little more noise appeals. Does anyone have any experience of these, there seem to be two options for fitting, either clamping or welding and a mention of possibly needing to add extra length on the pipe, any shared experience or advise would be appreciated?

Many thanks

Make sure it's for a 'CC and they clamp on. Personally I would leave the stock one until it fails. You might end up hating new one (most things bought on ebay don't seem to fit properly)
Cheers Col.

I realised I must be getting old when I prefer a quiet car rather than something from the Santa Pod strip.

My money's on No. Front pipe will be too small to clamp on.properly (or at all).

And if not designed for a 206, the hanger bars will be the wrong place ...
