This is of course for the autoglym master Rob: I phoned up autoglym headquarters, they gave me my local trade supplier phone number... and up tohere all went ok.....I phoned the guy up to ask for some brochure and I asked for both the Premium and Professional products brochures... haveI been too greedy? The guy asked me if they were for my own use or not and I said I wated to open my own valeting business.... he said he'll sort my brochures out.. but didnt sound too convinced LOL
I told him the premium products were for re-sale... have I done well? He mentioned he'd put a salesman's card in the brochure... what do you think it is for??? LOL

Now forgive my ignorance but will Autoglym not sell you trade products if they think it is for own use?

If it helps you out, most of our franchisees have no problems supplying trade products to end-users but they would normally get you to meet them at their warehouse or a customers etc. This is simply because the order value is normally very small for end-users. There are 100 of them in the UK so it's normally pretty easy to find one close to you.

We don't have a glossy end-user leaflet I'm afraid as we are primarily suppliers to the trade. However, our guys sell from 7.5 ton trucks which are done out like shops in the back. you can therefore see the range easily and read labels, ask questions etc.

I should also say that for the most part our smallest pack size is 5 litre so it's no good unless you polish your car regularly as all polish will go off. We do however have nearly 200 products for cleaning cars so it's a bit of an Aladiin's cave for anyone really into this!

If you are interested then phone Customer Services on 01543 481616 or email customerservices@autosmart.co.uk for details of your local franchisee.

SORRY THIS SEEMS TO HAVE TURNED INTO A BIT OF A PLUG. Sue @ Autosmart

Thank you for your answer, I was just following the suggestions that rob gave on how to get cheaper autoglym products.....
the whole situation is the following: my CC is the first car I bought with my own money ;) .. and wanted to get some products for a thorough cleaning of it.. reading the forum on various threads I felt right to try these autoglym products that many users find so good... AND try and save some money, that's all

Hi Sue,

Autoglym will sell you anything even if it is for personal use.

I cant comment on your polishing products etc as I havent used them but would certainly recommend your Silver Seal system - very good. 2 out of our 3 cars are treated with it. The 3rd car is an M reg Fiesta (my banger) so not really worth doing.

If you want to send me some samples of the polishing products etc I will do a test on the Fiesta. I will literally split the car down its lengthand do half with Autoglym and half with your products.

I will then write a report for people to make their own minds up.

I am sure that your products will stand up well and may result in my Autoglym suppliers profits declining
