I don't use automatic car washes because of the damage they can do to aerials, mirrors and any other bits that protrude such as wipers.

I wouldn't go through an automatic car wash either but have also been told NEVER to use a jet wash on a cc. I'm not a fan of them anyway and always hand wash and polish my car (which is quite a chore) and it doesn't leak.

My husband has a Renault Megane cc which didn't leak when he bought it just over a year ago. He has used a jet wash on it many times and it now leaks unbelievably! It's like driving round in a giant water feature!! May be coincidence, but not worth taking the risk.
