Rear seat storage pods

This may be a bit naff but we was wondering since we never use the rear seat space about either removing the seats altogether or looking to get some decent "pods" with lids made; that would fit the rear seats and be useful for genral storage etc.

Any ideas or thoughts anyone.
If you dont think its completely naff and are interested in the idea let me know as the costs would be greatly reduced if I could order a quantity.

suppose it depends and what they were made from and how they were secured in the car ?

The would be secured using the seat belts and would be black moulded plastic with a flip top lid.

Making a mould at the moment for the drawings to be set up.

Any ideas / takers?
