Does anyone have any ideas of how to fight those annoying noises coming from the roof while i drive? Do you have any product that you could suggest me ,to use and stop those crackles? Thanks in advance.

if it's the rubber seals then a silicon based spray such as autoglym rubber and vinyl car should sort them out :)

please do a forum search for more information :)

A strut bar eliminates about half of the rattles and squeeks in mine, undoing the roof latches and closing them again sorts out a lot of squeeks too!

I have just taken my car back to Peugeot to have them change the roof latches, it has made all the difference no more noises at all.

I have tried the "autoglym rubber and vinyl car" and also the "autoglym silicon spray".At first there was no more crackles from the roof but after a 10 minute of driving the roof just started to crackle again   Do you have any more ideas that i might try?

Every time it gets unbearable on ours we take it into the monkeys to tighten the latches. Lasts about 6 months...

we use a special silcone goo in a small bottle, cost bout £35 a bottle.
maybe if i sent it somone we could have a goo pass round.
say mr x did his roof seals with it ,then he would pass it on to mrs p?
what you recon?
they only gonna get worse now the summers coming :D

the goo we use ,u apply a thin coat, leave to dry for bout 20mins,and thats it for life
it kinda eats into the rubber (not litraly)u know what i mean ,and leaves a lubricated none smear coating on the seals.wrxs very well if not pricey. :D

Reap,

Sounds like a brilliant idea.

Do all Pug garages have this?

If so whats it called and i will ask them to apply it when needed.

heres a picture of goo,has got a name...tis called.........krytox gpl105
part number is 9735.j4 cost about £35 per bottle(30ml)+vat

like i said you apply a thin layer to all your roof seals, leave to dry,and it leaves a lubricated surface which stop about 90% of the roof squeaks and groans
one bottle will do about 8 cars
anyone wanna buy it ? or should i try ebay?lol. tis the next best thing to gold. :D

for 30 quid you can smear an awfull lot of silicone oil around the car....why not get peugeot to get this stuff on the seals when the CCs are built at the plant

Can you tell whether it is any different from silicone oil used f.e. to get stainless steel all shiny ?
