Roof opening / closing - click only on one side

Post by kuba12331 »

I have such an annoying and little problem with the roof. Well, the roof opening and closing mechanism works very well and quickly, but after opening / closing I have to slightly press the lid on the passenger side (right next to the lid handle) to hear a "click" - after that everything is fine. It works fine on the driver's side.

From what I knew, I have to adjust the tension with the lines (http://www. peugeot206cc. co. uk/ repair-206/206/images/c/c5if0csd.gif). Comparing the latch (http://www. peugeot206cc. co. uk/ repair-206/206/images/c/c4bf2v2d.gif), on the driver's side it is stiff and cannot be move backwards, while on the passenger's side it is looser and if you push your finger, you can move it backwards - hence probably a problem and you need to press the trunk lid only on passenger side.

Can you help me and tell me which line (1 or 2) to use to regulate this? Should the spacing be larger or smaller on these adjustment links - between screws (http://www. peugeot206cc. co. uk/ repair-206/206/images/c/c5if0csd.gif)?

The extra spaces in the links you posted prevent the links working. Please remove the spaces.

Check that the little white latch on the left side boot lid lock is in the correct position. If that's ok, I would try tightening the upper cable. Keep a record of how much you turn it and in which direction, so that, if necessary, you can put it back as it was, and then try the other cable.
