Roof up-roof down..in which order?

so,bought a 04 cc and told roofs not working so ...took a gamble and have managed to get it partly working.
Im not familiar with these cars so...in order until it stopped and now wont come up!!!
but...with shelf inside boot drawn....
front latches off and bong
white clips on boot up and close boot
windows go down
boot lifts up
roof goes down....but then my boot whines a bit and will not close!!!
can someone tell me does the boot close before or after the parcel shelf comes up as i think this is my stumbling block.
I pulled the parcel shelf up by hand and the boot is almost closed....then all stopped totally and i had to stop an put the car inside as it started til rain.
I had to clear space in a council lock up in a real hurry to keep it from getting a soaking,lol

This video http://www.peugeot206cc.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=12920 shows the entire sequence. Watch from 5.40 for the answer to your question. It says that the roof getting to fully down should close the Roof Open Contactor (which is I in the drawing) - that may be your issue.
