Roof not working

Post by JavierLoharces »

I'm about to buy a Peugeot 206CC but he owner says that the roof is not working due to some parts that need to be replaced. I attach the images that he sent me so maybe you can tell me if it is a minor fix or it will be very expensive.

The brakes also need to be change because the cars hasn't been used in a while and the A/C to be filled.

Do you know how much would that repairs cost?

Thank you for your time :)

Can't tell anything from the first 2 photos. The third suggests there may have been a hydraulic fluid leak. Impossible to say cost, because no idea what caused it.

£150 to £200 for the brakes and AC, except it may not just need a refill - it may have a leak, so it really needs to be leak tested.

Bearing in mind that there may be other problems you don't yet know about, either count on spending at least £1000, or walk away.

From the pictures, it's definitely missing the protective plastic that guards the mechanism. This was probably removed when trying to fix it. This would imply that someone tried to fix it and failed.
Personally, I would walk away. There are certainly better options to purchase.
