RETRACTABLE ROOF ASSEMBLY

Post by Thar »

As roof problems are common, especially as some of ours cars are now of an age, I thought it an idea to sticky this link to the roof assembly.

Hi there, I'm trying to find the part number for a 206cc roof ram.
I need a new ram, and on the internet have come across a part number 8446G1.
Where do I find a matching part number on my roof parts, as so far I have seen only H 15 (and N) on my rams and there is nothing similar to that number under the lid.
Thanks

Might be better to describe which ram you require.
Cheers Col.

Thank you for the diagram.

Would these parts from a 2002 car fit my 2004 car? Is there a difference between them?

thanks

YAH YAH I FIXED THE ROOF !! every time i unhooked the roof latches ...ding dong ding dong ....it just stopped.....checked all the micro switches lubed then still ding dong ....it was the safety clips in the upper boot section , the two clips you re-position when you need to do a manual roof up. those clips pop out and have to be inserted into a tiny winy little hole ....or the whole dam thing shuts down....Now my engine light came on from starting it too may times on cold start ....catalytic converter malfunction....any ideas anyone ????

As your question has nothing to do with the roof, I suggest you post it separately in the appropriate section, and also say which engine you have. Better still, post the last eight digits of the VIN, in case we need to access the Service Box to help you.
