Peugeot 206 cc roof operation in detail

Post by Thar »

This video was posted earlier in response to a members roof problem. I thought it was worthy of a sticky.

Credit to member cheekee for uploading to YouTube.

Just wanted to say a quick thank you for posting this.

My roof stopped working last week and with summer fast approacing I was getting desperate. I joined this forum as a last resort after trawling google for suggestions on what could be wrong before taking my car to a dealer. I watched the video you posted and it told me exactly where to look - low and behold the problem was fixed within a matter of minutes.

For info I wasn't getting a beep when I released the roof hooks - turned out the contact had bent and was constantly in contact - I just bent it back again.

Hi I hope someone can help me, i have only had my 206cc for a few days and my roof won't go down. After a couple of days i could hear a continuous beeping when driving, somebody advised me to put the roof down so i did and it got stuck..... it was raining and it took me half an hour in the rain on my own to manually put it back up again. Now it won't go down atall and i can still hear the continuous beeping...i would really appreciate some advice please :D

Also from looking at some posts on here i have been having a look and the pull cord on the parcel shelf doesnt seem to be attached to anything, its just looped around a cylinder? is this how it is supposed to be? :/
