Have you checked the boot closed microswitch & cable adjustment for the boot locks? Sounds like cables may need tightening slightly.
If you can't sort it- better put it up manually
Cheers Col.

Gurney255, you are a lifesaver! Finally found this post, same symptoms as i have been having.
Been scratching my head for weeks on this one, changing lots of parts etc.
Microswitches had all tested fine, however i just took this one off and it wasn't moving freely. Free'd it up, and roof works properly!
Tks

Having same issue on my cc!
Can get to the point the roof is in the boot but the boot lid will not close and parcel shelf won't eject!
Can hear the pump change pitch at this point then ten seconds later...the ECU safety turns the pump off.
Going to test my roof switch to see if it's faulty

Since the comp measure the time it stops the opening while it didn't received the signal from switch that roof has been opening. The switch is located here:

You will need the torx 20 to remove it. Mine was not damaged, just it required few clicks to move again. Everything is fine now and I avoided to pay a lot of money for services, since they wanted to replace all actuators instead one f** micro switch.

Any questions, feel free to write.

Lifesaver post!! Thank you Gurney255 .....
