Anti polution Fault Message and no 10 warning light

Post by Pablo8 »

Have just had new Timing belt and Aux belt fitted. Engine still runs smoothly, but Anti- Polution message comes on after a few seconds after start-up, then goes out. The Engine management light (No. 10 in the owners Manual book) has come on . Did not notice that for three days (it's rather dim) in sunlight Did not see, but at dusk, spotted it dimly glowing. The car seems to run as good as before the new belts.

You need to get the code read as it could be several things.

The EML should't be dim either. If it is you may have another problem

What engine/model, etc?

RAC has done diagnostic check. Details Poo11...Poo12 ...P1621...Poo10 1.4 Petrol Sport model … 55 Plate
71,000 plus on the clock. Apparently Timing seems to be the main fault. Was told that the belt could be up to 6 teeth out, but still run. Thanks for your interest.

The CC wasn't fitted with the 1.4 engine .. you might be better off asking on 206info or peugeotforums ..

If the belt wasn't fitted correctly with the proper timing pins it could be badly out ..
