Hi everyone!
I'm Gianni from Italy.
I have a 206cc with automatic gearbox with the well known problem of gearbox that stucks in 3rd gear and sport and snow blinking.
I replaced the 2 solenoids in the hydraulic block, I drained and replaced the oil (4.5 l) but now it's not working at all. The P light on dashboard blinks and i can't move the gear lever from P position.
If I manually free the lever, the LEDs don't follow the gear lever position.
Any idea?
Thanks in advance
P light blinks after solenoids replacement (AL4 gearbox)
Re: P light blinks after solenoids replacement (AL4 gearbox
If the replaced solenoids are the high frequency type (2574.16), and the originals the low frequency type (2574.10), the transmission ECU needs a software update which is a dealer or transmission specialist procedure. That could be the problem.

Thanks IanL for your answer.
Unfortunately I don't have any information about the code you are talking about.. the site where I bought them displays both numbers for the same item.
Anyway, I reverted the operation and now the car is working (bad) as before.

As the reversion was successful, it is almost certain that you were sold the new high frequency solenoids. You would need to find a Peugeot dealer or an AT specialist who could apply the new software to the transmission ECU.
