Hello can you help please?

Post by Nerakkaren »

Hi
I've just bought a peugeot 206cc cabriolet, 2002 and have been told it needs a new set of brake pads and disks all round.
I don't have much money for this so figured I'd order the parts myself online and pay a mechanic an hourly rate to fit them.
However I'm struggling to find out the exact parts I need, is there a website which can tell me that if I enter my registration please?
Also the passenger seat is very reclined and I cannot get it to fix in a more upright position, it just moves up but doesn't click into place.
Any help with these topics greatly appreciated.
Thank you
Karen

I can't help you with the part numbers. :(

But for the seat: be sure to pull the lever backwards for adjustment.

If you push it forward, it will move the entire seat forward, to get people on the backseat.

Karen,

Pretty much every site asks for a reg number now ... however, most also give at least two options so you have to check what parts are fitted now.

Try http://www.buypartsby.co.uk ...

You'd need to double check as some pads have spring clips and others screws to locate them but you probably need

BG2837 Front discs x 2
MDB2584 Front pads x 1
BG2800 Rear discs x 2
MDB2868 Rear pads x 1

About £67 inc del and VAT.

Don't order these without checking that the brake system you have is the same as mine as ours is the 2.0 version (Bosch front, bendix rear). 1.6 engines might be different.

On Bosch the pads have clips to hold them in place, and at the rear split pins.

Alternatives are carparts4less.co.uk or your local motor factor (not halfords!) ...
