Roof leak onto driver's side rear panel/seat

Hi Millie. Have you tried greasing with silicone grease?

Well i've tried using silicone, but it started to look tacky
I've booked an check-up appointment at a peugeot specialist garage, which they will see where the leaks coming from, much cheaper than what Main dealer asked for

But i did think about using the silicone grease, but reading from the previous posts, people have mentioned it hasn't leaked for 2years+
so wondered is it worth getting it fixed properly at a reasonable price.

It's your call, but I would have given the grease trick a go first. Have a read of the many posts on the subject and most people seem to find it works. It must be silicone grease though.

For these side window seal issues, has anyone ever tried some of the thin stick on rubber draft proofing?

It seems that most are caused by the seals collapsing and not making a solid connection.

I just bought my daughter a new car because of all the problems she had with the CC, one of which was a leaky roof, I have the car now and god the problems.....the roof leaked on both sides and yes you got a shower when braking hard but I decided to get all the problems fixed so I could get back and too to work. Beats cycling lol, I put the roof down half way, then pulled the seal forward (removing the two rubber grips that hold it, then pulled the seals down in the center and then forward off the metal grips at the front. You can now apply silicone grease to the metal where the seal fits at the top...then put the seal back in the opposite way as taking it off, the seal then stops leaking The other problems are ongoing. the resistor went or so I thought, I found the connector hat overheated and burnt the wire out, this was trimmed and connected to the other wire cause they go to the same connector but...the heater only works on full blast. I think I will change it. Apparently she had 3 exhausts fitted in 4 years, and now this one had come away, the rubber fittings are all snapped and caused the back box tubing to split. No biggy I will replace the entire middle section and all the missing rubbers. If anyone knows of a good cheap replacement for now that would be nice. I have noticed people going on about powerflow exhaust systems on here and am interested in purchasing one in the not too distant future. I like the car even though I have been asked for prices on hair cuts from my colleges at work lol. I plan to run this into the ground so that should be in 5 years or so traveling 2 miles to work each day lol.

Hi Mike & welcome. Heater fan wiring plug are a common problem. The wiring looks a bit thin to me so carries a lot of load. Unfortunately you can't get the plug on it's own if it's the motor with the resister built in like yours seems to be.

I never buy cheap exhausts as they never seem to last..

PS If you stopped the roof half way through the cycle, you were lucky not to cause problems. See roof section for people who have had problems with roof operation.

lol, I Did get it stuck and was panicking because of the big black cloud that was heading my way, the more I tried to close it the worse it got I found out that If two people pulled open the rear cover (Because I couldn't open the boot, it opened to a point, then.. I got lucky after 30 mins and the cloud getting closer I found one of the actuator switches he he..It overrides the program and with arms stretched I could close the roof - one hand on the switch and one pressing in the micro-switch pwew I then operated the roof 4 times to make sure it still worked and it did I was looking on ebay at the genuine exhaust parts and the middle box with pipe is around £80 and the clips for both end are around £10 and just bolt together so easy fix for the MOT in a couple of months, I also found that when the car gets to 50+ MPH and shakes so I think the tracking may be out just a touch, better getting the garage to do that job though.

Quick update, the middle exhaust is was £39 and with the clips and rubber holders total £49 and is now fitted sounds great now.
