Coolant fluid leak - rear of engine

Post by Slinky »

Hi

Please could someone help, I've just had my 06 2.0 cc serviced and they've found a coolant leak coming from the back of the engine, the garage seems to think possibly the water pump.

They've recommended a cam belt change and water pump to rule it out but they wouldn't know until it's changed. The cam belt is due to be changed as well.

Please see attached pic.

Water pump is other end of engine from the look of that photo.
If the cambelt is due, the get it done (along with the water pump)
For your waterleak check the hoses and plastic housings above and to the rear of the gearbox-to-engine join.
Cheers Col.

ok thanks for the help, I'm not sure but it looks like it might be a very small leak from the expansion tank, need to have more of a look at the weekend but I think it's coming from that.
