Have this message appearing and engine will not start. It turns over nice and fast and battery has full charge (according to bat charger). I followed capncols directions to the letter but no change. My occupation has taught me to follow procedures to the letter and in a moment of madness I recently disconnected the battery three times whilst trying to sort light in the boot and now sadly it appears that I may have damaged the bsi.

Before embarking on the expensive and extensive exercise of changing the BSI, engine ECU, keyfobs, etc, try performing the BSI reboot procedure - maybe 3 or 4 times (it does not always work the first time).
