m position on ignition
Re: m position on ignition
Ignore that. It is much better to have the engine running when raising or lowering the roof, so that the alternator can supply the energy for the pump, rather than the battery. This will ensure that the roof does not stop halfway through the cycle, because the battery can't hack it.
All you have to remember is to have the boot blind in position, undo the clips (to lower), start the engine and operate the switch - keep it pressed until the cycle is complete and the bong signal sounds. Do not stop it halfway to clean the rear window or whatever. If you do, the roof ECU can lose its memory of where the roof is, and will not resume the cycle. You then have to close the roof manually.
