No horn and indicators only if lights on

Post by cudsuk »

Hi guys - the new owner of a 206cc which only has this fault that i have found after driving for a while

I purchased it yesterday and it was raining so everything worked ( didn't try the horn - in hindsight i should have ) - The indicators don't work with lights turned off and no horn - could it be the comms2000 thing i have seen discussed here or as simple as a fuse - I was given no hand book etc so not sure where to even look to solve it.

I got the car cheap as only a few weeks MOT left on it and would like to get it sorted before i put a new one on it as no horn is a fail.

Cheers guys

Welcome to the forum.
Handbook here: http://www.peugeot206cc.co.uk/downloads/handbook.pdf
Indicators/lights issue - sounds like COM2000 - they are fairly expensive (I guess around £300 ?), that's why the previous owner will have got rid before MOT. Common fault.
The horn is quite often just the horn itself. Situated where they are they get all the wet and muck. It's usually just a case of renewing it.
