Hi folks,
Glad I found this forum whilst I was checking out a new battery for my sister's 206CC otherwise I wouldn't have known about the BSI issue...phew! So that's one problem avoided now the battery size...
A bit confused on what is the correct battery for the car, it's got an 075 at the moment (it's the battery that came with the car a few years ago) but checking the likes of Tayna and Carparts4Less suggest it should be an 027.
Halfords quote an 013 though I'm not always convinced they get details correct though size is same as an 027...
So on basis that it's an 027 I've been considering an Exide EA640, 64 AH 640 CCA, LxWxH 242x175x190mm
£60 delivered on Ebay with one seller buyanycarpart saying it will fit but another clickcarparts saying it doesn't fit..
Did read somewhere that the 206cc has a taller battery than the standard 206 hatch, the 075 is 242x175x175mm
Did phone Peugeot dealer in Aldershot but their parts system doesn't say what the (aftermarket) type is, though the guy did say "Looking at the black & white picture it looks like an 075".
So as I say I'm a bit confused so thought I'd ask and see what others have. Help please
Also checking out Parkers I saw an underbonnet picture (seems I can't post the link) of the 1.6 diesel with a cover over the battery...ours doesn't have this, is this standard? Would tidy up the engine bay a bit I guess.

027 is the correct battery for the CC (075 fits the hatchbacks)PEN206 wrote:A bit confused on what is the correct battery for the car, it's got an 075 at the moment (it's the battery that came with the car a few years ago) but checking the likes of Tayna and Carparts4Less suggest it should be an 027.
They don't ... their battery charts have always been suspect. I got told I had the wrong battery in a car that I had from new!PEN206 wrote:Halfords quote an 013 though I'm not always convinced they get details correct though size is same as an 027...
Try carpart4less .. it's euro car parts internet only site and a few %age cheaper plus they often have additional discount codes.PEN206 wrote:So on basis that it's an 027 I've been considering an Exide EA640, 64 AH 640 CCA, LxWxH 242x175x190mm

What hope do we have .. besides an 075 does look like an 027 .. and an 027 looks like an 075 .. it's a Type A battery!PEN206 wrote:Did phone Peugeot dealer in Aldershot but their parts system doesn't say what the (aftermarket) type is, though the guy did say "Looking at the black & white picture it looks like an 075".
They did from new but they get left off by dealers and mechanics, the clips on the lid snap off when older and brittle and some people just bin them as it's something else to remove! They are getting hard to find with the clips intact.PEN206 wrote:Also checking out Parkers I saw an underbonnet picture (seems I can't post the link) of the 1.6 diesel with a cover over the battery...ours doesn't have this, is this standard? Thanks, have ordered the Exide EA640 027 and also the battery cover. Battery was £60 on eBay and cover is £8 from Peugeot. Dealer wanted £106 for a less powerful battery so I said thanks but no thanks.
