Third brakelight failure

Hi can anyone tell me if the third brakelight on a 2003 206cc contains individual bulbs or is it a sealed unit and information on its removal would be appreciated Thankyou TOM

Ours was a sealed unit. So it's a swap-out.

Take off the pull-down handle inside the boot lid (carefully unclip the handle insert and unscrew the torx screws) and then remove the inner trim panel. The light unit is held in with two small nuts and one connection.

While the panel is off check all the connections along the cables back towards the left-side hinge as well as these can come adrift (as you look in the boot). If all the lights failed at the time it is mosr likely to be a wiring problem than a bulb issue.

BTW the CC and hatchback units are NOT the same ..

Thanks for the information i will try this option first as the manual recomends locking the boot then unlocking securing clips for the boot flap lifting that up to remove the light making an easy job complicated TOM
