I recently bought an 02 reg, 206LX, 1.4L petrol , 5 door hatchback, there were a few problems with it that I've sorted but the one i can't seem to fix relates to the dial set, when the engine is cold, without the ignition on the temperature gauge shows 85 degrees, with ignition the temperature gauge goes up to 110 degrees and climbs from there, the fuel gauge shows half a tank but the low fuel indicator light is constantly on.
I've changed the temperature sensor, checked the earth straps, changed the battery which was coming towards the end of it's life, cleaned up the ECU and sprayed with WD40, checked and cleaned all related connections and taken the dial set out cleaned the connections and replaced.
I'd be greatfull for any advice anyone can give me.
