Hi
For several months my 2003 1.1 litre has been juddering when trying to maintain a constant speed. It is not a violent judder, it feels almost like it is trying to slow down and speed up to maintain the constant speed. It does this in all gears, and all engine RPM ranges.
Acceleration is fine and is smooth, engine managment never lights up.
please fire away with your suggestions.
While I have your attention, What may cause the speedo needle to be rough and not a smooth motion? and sometimes not display the right speed at all (getting stuck at 25mph when im stopped, and strange stuff like that!)

Re: Throttle juddering
I would check for a split breather pipe or other air leak (listen for a hissing sound at idle)
Cheers Col.

Re: Throttle juddering
Not noticed any hissing. I have checked the air lines and not noticed any foul play.
Could it be something like the idle control valve or throttle body?

Re: Throttle juddering
Could be throttle body, but my experiance is generally they work or they don't. There isn't an idle control vale. Idle is controlled by the thottle body.
Cheers Col.

Re: Throttle juddering
If this is being caused by a missfire then could be coil pack.
Cheers Col.
