It is all explained in Haynes manual no. 4613. I would suggest that you buy one, they are not expensive - less than £15 from motoringbooks of bookham on ebay. I have used them and they provide an excellent service. See

It is recommended to disconnect the -ve battery terminal first.
Lower the steering column using the height adjuster lever.
Starting at the bottom of the shroud carefully unclip the shroud and remove it from the fascia.
Slacken and remove the instrument panel retaining screw.
Remove the instrument panel assembly from the fascia, disconnect wiring connectors as they become accessible until you can access the bulb you need to change.

When refitting, securely reconnect any wiring connectors you have undone, clip the panel back into position in the fascia, and refit the retaining screw tightening it securely.

Clip the instrument panel shroud back onto the fascia.

Reconnect the battery and check the operation of the panel warning lights to ensure they are functioning correctly.

I have no photos of it. There are photos in the Haynes manual.

Thanks for the info. The water temp light needle only needed a slight push back to the zero position, and it is again operating as it should. :hyper:
