WHERE TO DRIVE THIS WEEKEND? Or any weekend really...

Post by Dav1ey »

I fancy going for a nice drive somewhere this weekend, distance no object really but just fancy a cruise somewhere, was thinking of heading to Brighton or London but been there a hundred times and thinking somewhere different but where I can get the top off and have a good drive. Any suggestions peeps? :D

Wollaton Hall in Nottingham is a pleasant venue. There is a lovely park with deer, Wollaton Hall & Natural History Museum, the Industrial Museum there re-opens this weekend I believe. There are good eating establishments there, or you can take a picnic. The City of Nottingham is within about 4 miles with plenty to see there, including the Castle. Theatres and restaurants in Nottingham itself.

See http://www.nottinghamcity.gov.uk/index. ... cleid=1037

Might be too far for you - about 125 miles i.e. 3 hours each way.
