I have read many topics about aftermarket stereos, swapping the red and yellow wires etc.
However this is not working. I have used a multimeter and both the red and yellow wires are switched!
i.e., they only have 12v when ignition is on accessories/ignition.
Does anybody have any idea why please? Could it be a BSI fault or something?
I think I will just run a cable from battery through to stereo.
Also I find 2 wires dangling behind the stero and under the glovebox. Does anybody know what these are? I just bought the car and it had a Sony stereo but it was faulty. But these wires were not connected to the Sony head unit either. There is the main one in the image, 3 coloured blocks together, also the one under the glove box, has 2 pins/wires.

Re: Pioneer stereo memory not saving - no constant 12v
Well I'm hopefully taking the RD4 from my 207CC at the weekend to add a bluetooth unit to it. Will have a look at the back and see if anything matches up.
I know its not the same unit as a std 206, but may have something like it lucking at the back.
