Wiring for JBL sub and speakers

Post by Bowlingrick »

Hi
I recently picked up one of the JBL custom made sub and speaker pod for the boot.

It was just the unit with no wiring so I'm wondering if anybody here can point me in the direction of a wiring diagram?

I understand that that some cars have the main wiring built in to the loom of the car? If so, what covers would i need to remove in the boot to find them?

Thanks all.

It would help if you mentioned what car you had ...

Assuming it is a 206, you are more likely to find that sort on info on 206info.co.uk where there are more hatchbacks and the have space to fill the boot with such devices ...

Hi thanks for the link.

I'll have a search for the details.

To gazza82, the car is a 206cc (which is why I'm on this site). The subs and amp are the JBL ones made for the boot of the 206cc and sit neatly at the back under the cover.

Cheers.

You'll be surprised how many don't see the cc bit in the site address ;-)

peugeotforums or 206info have reasonable ICE sections on their forums. I take it you have tried a simple google search?

Yeah

I've even tried the JBL site but without much luck. I was hoping that somebody on here had fitted them before as they are produced by JBL just for the cc.

I may end up taking them apart to see what powers the sub and speakers and then make some of my own connections up.

Thanks.

Hello everybody, did anyone has that wiring diagram? What i suspect till now is that the iso connector starts behind clarion head unit till the boot amplifier and from there the wires goes to all 6 speakers inside the car and the other 2 subwoofer from the boot. So that amplifier "manage" all speakers if the car has original jbl audio pack. If not, you must make yourself wiring from head unit to the amplifier. Have a nice day everybody!

Please can someone help, I want to know how to remove a jbl subwoofer from the boot of peugeot 206cc, does it require a specialist car deal er to do it or can I do it myself....Also none of my speakers are working at all, my audio unit it self does work as been tested in another vehicle, does anyone have an idea what the problem could be. any help and advice would be really appreciated, many thanks in advance.
