How to remove the aerial

Post by bezzawick »

Hi
i am new to the site as i have just bought my first 206 convertible and i am wanting to replace the aerial with a new one. i have tried to remove the aerial by trying to unscrew it but im not sure its tight as i dont want to put to much pressure on it and break it. is it possible to just unscrew it or do i need to replace the mounting as well.
thanks

The whip part just screws out,but it may be rusted in
I went to a car wash and went to unscrew my aerial it was hard so I used a bit more force and it snapped off due to it having rusted together, a new whip and base mout were around £8 each from Peugeot
I just used a blob of copper grease on the threads of the new whip to hopefully stop it happening again!!
