Kenwood KDC-BT92SD

Post by AllenConquest »

Does anyone have this radio in their 206cc? I'm worried about the rear USB, would it be possible to bring a lead out to the front for connection to an iPhone? I presume with the right connectors I'd be able to get the stalk controls and display working?

I've been looking at it here http://www.incarexpress.co.uk/view_prod ... =KDCBT92SD

What age is the 206CC? Is the stalk the thin long type or fat flatter model? Former is pre-mux and might work, latter is MUX (multiplex) and is going to be a PITA probably!

Changing radios in later Pug's seems to be a nightmare of a job.

I've just had a guy at http://www.dynamicsounds.co.uk/ tell me that it's not possible to keep the radio information on the central display. Can anyone confirm this ?

I'm pretty much sure that if you change the head unit then there's no way you can keep the info on the
central display, you'll also lose the stalk controls unless you fit a suitable adaptor

Losing the central display is a given on a replacement unit .. unless it's a radio from the 206 range. A radio off the shelf won't have any external connections to link it up as it has it's own display.

Your '05 is definitely canbus, so it's not a straightforward swap from what I've read. Try googling a few more 206 sites ... 206info.co.uk is a good place to start, then peugeotforums, etc.

Looks like you just need the correct adaptor and you can get the stalk control working. Would be nice to get a unit like this http://www.milion.com/details.aspx?pro_ ... t_no=D1308, but not sure if I could wire that in :)
